Kudos to April Blair and Kelly Bowe and their recently released film Private Valentine (trailer here). The film features the SUPERHOT Jessica Simpson and the always funny Steve Guttenburg (From POLICE ACADEMY!) in a story about a fluffy, bubble gum movie star named Megan Parker who suddenly finds herself broke and humiliated in the public eye. She then wanders from the wreckage of a car accident and witlessly enlists in the U.S. Army hoping in vain that it will change her life. April, Kelly, and I took Robert McKee’s Screenwriting Workshop together in 2006 in Phoenix and I got to take a look at the first draft back in their hotel room and I can tell you I honestly laughed my ass right off. April, if you’re reading this, you still owe me a vodka cranberry! :) Congrats to these two HUGE TALENTS!
